Mark Edward Bassett, 52, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died Sept. 18, 2010, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Jan. 1, 1958, at Peoria, Illinois, the son of William Henry and Betty Jean Lambert Bassett. He was an artist, a craftsman, electrician, draftsman and neon bender.
Survivors included: his wife, Mary Elizabeth Darling Bassett of the home; three daughters, Desiree Bassett, Jessica Bassett and Niki Bassett, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his mother, Betty Jean Bassett of Springdale, Arkansas; two brothers, David Michael Bassett and William Steven Bassett, both of Springdale, Arkansas; one sister, Vickie Lynn Stout of Witter, Arkansas.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Boyd Darling as the service leader. Interment was in the Henno Cemetery near Aurora under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers were: Lalo Camacho, Randy Vanhoozen, Joe Hart, David Michael Bassett, Jr., Enrique Camacho and Abram McCawley. Honorary pallbearers will be: William Steven Bassett, George Holtzen, Brett Maguire and Randall Stout. A memorial gathering was held immediate following the interment at the Harwood Tree Farm across from the cemetery.
