Donald Lesley Ames, age 63, of Fort Smith, died Friday, May 27th, 2022.

Donald was born July 2, 1958, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, to Ruben Alfred Ames and Leta Mae Hillhouse Ames.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, a brother John Ames and a sister Lawanna Thompson.

Donald is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jeannie Johnson Ames, a son, Don Ames Jr. and wife Emily, a daughter Christina Hoelscher, 2 grandchildren, Destiny Rodriguez and Alisha Hannon, 2 great grandchildren, Esme Rodriguez & Dallas Rodirguez and a sister, Donna Selvidge. 

Visitation: Thursday, June 2, 2022 Westfield Chapel Funeral Home 4-7 p.m.

Graveside Service: 10:30 Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville Arkansas. Donald Ames served his country in the United States Army.
